Often, a dab along the nostrils is all that is needed to moisten and clear. Simply apply a drop with a clean pinky finger to each nostril to lubricate the biome in dry climes, in airplanes, or in other close quarters. Or, apply a drop to a slightly wet swab and anoint the nose. The wetness prevents the serum from absorbing into cotton, and a touch of water makes the pores of tender tissues more receptive.

To use Mountain Myrtle in a nasya practice, tilt your head back, let a drop or two of the serum fall into each nostril, and then gently inhale with alternating closed nostrils to invite the serum further into the sinuses.

This clearing serum may also be applied to the glands around the neck, in the ears, and along the cheekbones to soothe sinuses. It is a blessing to breath when diffused, added to bath water, or put in a salt pipe, and it is a refreshing addition to meditation and breathing practices. Use with mouth tape at night to encourage breathing through the nose all night.
