Bacillus Ferment

Bacillus ferment is a prebiotic harvested from ancient underwater caves in Mallorca, Spain. We have included it in this formula due to its unique ability to balance the skin microbiome and visibly smooth and plump the skin. It acts as a prebiotic which means it is metabolized by the micro-organisms that exist on the skin’s surface (commensal cutaneous microbiota). This action enhances the release of postbiotics and antioxidants which work to protect the skin cells from environmental stress factors. It also works to increase the ability of skin cells on the outermost layer of the skin (keratinocytes) to produce "ageless" proteins which help to enhance the integrity of the skin surface, hydrate and protect the skin. Coined as an "agebiotic" it represents a new approach to looking after the skin's microbiome.

Clinical studies* of the "agebiotic" have found:

• Volume and area of crow’s feet wrinkle decreased by up to 62% and 44% (respectively) in just 7 days.
• Depth and area of forehead wrinkles decreased by up to 28% and 85% (respectively) in 28 days.
• Long-term hydration of the skin was improved by 63% in 28 days.
• The biodiversity of skin microbiota was improved by up to 50% in 28 days.

Niacinamide

Provides soothing activity useful for improving the appearance of aged, hyperpigmented and photodamaged skin. Its potent antioxidant content provides it with the ability to strengthen the skin barrier and protect against free radical damage. Niacinamide supports the natural production of the skin-strengthening ceramides, helping to prevent moisture loss and improve fine lines and wrinkles. Visibly evens skin tone and texture and encourages more youthful-looking skin.

Hyaluronic Acid

The ultimate in instant-hydration for all skin types, Hyaluronic Acid is capable of holding up to 1000 times its weight in water, delivering it deep into the dermis where it binds to skin cells. The natural acid works to improve skin pliability and plumpness to visibly refine fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother complexion.

Calendula

St John's Wort

John's Wort is a powerful restorative ingredient used for its ability to increase skin elasticity and hydration, calming the skin and promoting the skin’s natural repair process. St John’s wort stimulates the circulation of oxygenated blood to damaged cells aiding the skins regeneration process and helping to calm and restore irritated and inflamed skin.

Chamomile

Famous for its calming and soothing properties. Chamomile is a powerhouse for anyone with sensitive skin or inflammatory conditions such as rosacea or eczema. Abundant in flavonoids and phytochemicals, Chamomile has the ability to protect the skin against free radical damage and visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Apply to the face and décolletage after cleansing and serum application. Can be used morning and night.
